本棟為單層單戶的老公寓建築，接受室內設計委託的同時，合計僅五戶單位的建築本體也正進行整體更新改建工程，各層室內亦由不同設計單位同時進行。像是集體創作，各戶的室內需求可反應至建築團隊，彼此意見反饋，達成表裡如一的目的。
This top-floor unit belongs to a five-residence walk-up apartment in Taipei. While we were entrusted with the interior design, the building as a whole was undergoing a full renovation—inside and out. Each floor had its own design team, creating a rare opportunity for collaborative transformation. Design decisions made within each apartment could be reflected in the architecture, fostering a shared dialogue between interiors and exterior, between private and communal.
室內以不同材質的白色為基調，這片刻意空白也將藉大面積建築開窗灑進的日光與業主日後的生活參與染上溫度與顏色。長方形的基地短邊深度僅475CM，尺寸必須精準拿捏，過程中設計師實際在現場反覆不斷推敲也許是僅幾公分的尺寸差異，讓客廳、餐廳、動線彼此在視覺與使用上維持最舒適的配比。
The space is defined by whites—soft, textured, layered. This deliberate blankness invites sunlight, which enters generously through full-height windows and, over time, will take on the hues of daily life and quiet rituals. With a floorplate only 475 cm deep, the proportions demanded precision. The design was refined repeatedly on site, with even a few centimeters making the difference—ensuring that the flow between living, dining, and circulation remains fluid and intuitively balanced.
空間總是主人生活哲學的映射。
雖面積不大，屋主仍捨棄些室內面積來增加一小區戶外陽台，視覺恰如其份也多添綠意，豐富建築深度。客浴廁留設輪椅空間與門扇寬度，以備不常北上的父母方便使用。在寸土寸金總會被要求效率的都會中心，留白、肯捨的價值觀落實於執行，反而表達了生活的餘裕與從容。

hough compact, the couple chose to give up a portion of their indoor area to make room for a small outdoor terrace—an unusual decision in a city where every square meter is highly valued. The addition brings depth, greenery, and a pause to the facade. In the guest bathroom, extra clearance and a wide door accommodate the occasional visit from aging parents. These quiet gestures—of restraint, of generosity—reflect a calm confidence in how the home is used and shared.
In a city that prizes efficiency, giving up interior floor area becomes a quiet expression of luxury.
